Classes are taught by me, Susan V. Davis. I’ve been teaching music, movement and dance classes to babies, toddlers, children and parents in local elementary and nursery schools, camps, libraries, and music programs in Westchester for the past 16 years.
As a professional child actress, I grew up singing and dancing. After graduating from New York University and earning a masters degree from Hunter College, I took time off to raise my children. It was at my son’s music class that I was “discovered.” The director of the program asked me to teach for her, and my career in early childhood music began. I started Shake, Rattle & Roll in the fall of 2005. After teaching other peoples’ music, I decided to use my own original songs to create something new. My classes incorporate dance, multicultural music, and generally raise the energy level higher than the other music classes in Westchester. Kids have more fun while learning.
I love singing and dancing with children and their caregivers. And, I can’t imagine a better job! Making music with children is a truly joyful experience for all. My own children play the piano, cello, and drums. They both love to dance and can’t stop singing!
